CHALK Event: The Family Olympics

SATURDAY AUGUST 23rd
6:30-8:00 PM at New Hope Assembly.

This will be a great way to kick-off the new year and re-connect with friends whom we may have missed over the summer. Newcomers are also welcome!

Start preparing now...your family should come as a TEAM. (Yes, all crafters, this is a reason to create identical shirts for your entire crew! Or hats...) There are some
events that require strength, some require creativity, and others just
require a sense of humor. After the games, we will close with an award
ceremony and dessert. (We might even make podiums....anthems anyone?
Any family willing to make up an anthem, to be sung or recited during
the awards ceremony will get a special prize)

While international culinary knowledge is not required, it would be super cool if each
family would bring a dessert with some international flair. Lebkuchen?
Chrusciki? Something your great-grandma was famous for? Moms and
kids, please insist that Dad be part of this! Talk lots of sports
language--goals, captains, medals...If Dad is not available, let
someone else fill in. Uncles, grandpas, big brothers....Let's make this
a fun evening for families to spend together.

CHALK Meeting: Homeschool Information Fair!

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
6:30 - 8:00 PM at New Hope Assembly on Eisenhower Road.

Join us for the 1st CHALK meeting of the 2007-2008 school year.
This evening will feature a "Homeschool Information Fair" where you can learn about enrichment opportunities in our area. There will representatives on hand from a variety of resources to let us know about their organization and answer questions.
